Adding on to his entrepreneurial résumé is Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson as he revisits the Consumer Electronics Show, this year as a retailer not just a consumer. In Las Vegas earlier today 50 Cent launched a new Sports edition line of his SMS Audio headphones, following his business partnership with New York Knicks Carmelo Anthony weeks ago.
Headphones, both on-ear and in-ear, come in a variety of colors and incorporate Bluetooth technology, HD battery and water/sweat-proof protection. Additionally, SYNC by 50 In-Ear Wireless Sport headphones will be available in three vibrant colors, priced at $179.95.
“I’m a health and fitness fanatic, so a quality pair of headphones is an absolute must-have when I’m working out. I used my own ‘wish list’ of features as a benchmark when creating the Sport collection, and I’m extremely pleased with the final result – in addition to having our partner, NBA All-Star Carmelo Anthony, as the signature name on the product. 50 has also embarked on a joint effort with Lucasfilm to release a series of Star Wars-themed headphones which is to be launched in Stormtrooper, Rebel Alliance, Boba Fett and Imperial editions for a limited time only.
